Dr. Alan Groveman
Dr. Groveman is a psychologist with over 20 years experience. He has served as a call on clinical professor at University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey, , Robert Wood Johnson Medical, He was also New Jersey Psychological Association President in 1997.
He mostly works with couples who have difficulties in their relationships. His approach is Emotionally Focused Therapy, which is a structured and systemic approach to family and couple therapy that finds the prime of emotion in organizing both key interaction and inner experience.
Dr. Groveman also works with adolescents, individuals and adults. He also does cognitive behavior therapy, which is based on the principle that our thoughts will only cause behavior and feelings and not events and solutions.
Dr. Ronald G Silikovitz
Dr. Silikovit has over 30 years experience and he is a licensed clinical psychologist who holds a Ph.D. He is the President and founder of the New Jersey chapter of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. He also held a position in New Jersey Psychological Association and Essex-Union County Association of Psychologist. He has offices in Elizabeth and West Orange, New Jersey.
He specializes in Forensic psychology (risk assessment, relocating evaluation, and personal injury, parent coordination, therapeutic visitation, and competency, termination of parental rights of adoption, custody/parenting evaluation and sexual offenders), individual psychotherapy, family therapy and couple therapy. He also specializes in forensic aspects.
Dr. Silikovitz works with individuals, family and couples. A special thing to note is that he has set a goal to empower his clients to achieve happiness and satisfaction, make good choices and maximize their potential.
Ms. Marcia Berman
Ms. Berman has over 30 years experience, a graduate of Fordham University. She works from home where she does her private practice. She specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy) a method help people recover from disturbing and present and past traumatic events. As a trained family therapist her approach is empowering, dynamic, warm and solution oriented to build her clients strength. She works with couples, individuals, depression, dealing with anxiety, marriage, self-esteem, divorce, remarriage issues, sexual issues, separation and parenting.
Ms. Berman works from home and therefore a person can book an appointment at any time while you can also get a call back at any time. Here office hours are from morning to evening. Monday to Thursday.
Mr. John Migueis
Mr. Migueis has over ten years experience and he is a graduate of Widener University. His approach to treatment include; cognitive behavior, marital / family, mindfulness-based, solution focused brief and then EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy) He has worked with 13 youth and older, adults, families and couples. For most of his career, he has worked closely with teens who have difficulty with peer relationship and school, manage conflict poorly and who experiment with alcohol and drugs.
He has also treats people and individuals who have experience trauma, struggle with anxiety or loss, addiction and depression. Mr. Migueis has also worked with couples who experiences communication issues and infidelity. His approach to therapy has been eclectic primarily drawing from EMDR, Imago, Cognitive-behavior, psychodynamic systemic techniques and Solution – Focused.
Alexandra Urgola
Urgola has nine years experience and she is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. She provides a great, respectful counseling in a safe place for both couples and individuals. Her psychotherapy approach to treatment includes depression, modalities or anxiety, trauma, phobias and PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder)
When working with couples, Urgola is passionate about helping as much as possible to reconnect by teaching successful and effective communications kills and reaching the best understanding of each other. She is particularly committed to helping couples in crisis with infidelity, she belive that there is some light ta the end of the tunnel and that a person can go through it in a better way and stronger if one is willing to take the full journey.
She has specialized in Imago Relationship Therapy and EMDR. She treats life issues such as, low self-esteem, relationship issues, depression, and recurring negative patterns. In addition, Urgola treats anxiety, infidelity successfully with EMDR, phobias, freeing most clients from the great debilitating fears and pain which have taken and dominate over their lives.
She provides a wide range of therapeutic tools which are depended on a client needs. Finally she is an expert I medical health. She is great team player as she works together with her client to develop a plan that best suits each of her clients unique needs.
