A note from Erica:

All my work with clients is informed by nearly two decades of personal and professional growth and development. I seek to deeply understand the person/people in front of me to best facilitate their journey through the therapeutic process.  I want each client to feel empowered, safe and supported enabling them to authentically experience the curiosity of self-exploration leading to a deeper or new understanding about themself.  If you are considering therapy for yourself, your family or your child, I encourage you to reach out for a consultation to see if I am a good fit for your therapeutic process. All initial consultations are free of charge and offered in person or over the phone.

PRACTICE OVERVIEW

Alpenglow Center is a LGBTQ+ affirming space, respects and values diversity, inclusivity, equality and cultivating an anti-racist world.

Free Initial Consultation*
30- Minute Initial Consultation offered in person, by phone or over Alpenglow’s HIPAA-compliant video platform.
*Initial Consultation is a time to discuss your goals at a high level, give you a sense of the therapist and help you determine whether or not
the practice is a good fit for your needs.
No therapy will be conducted during an initial consultation.

Insurance and Fees
We are an Out-of-Network Provider, therefore, if you have Out-of-Network Benefits through your insurance company, we will assist you in completing the paperwork to be reimbursed. Please Note: After reimbursement, your out-of pocket responsibility is often in-line with standard co-pays. If you would rather not involve your insurance company as an added level of confidentiality, you also have the option for self-pay.

Equity Sessions (Sliding Scale)
If you do not have Out-of-Network Benefits or do not have insurance and cannot afford the full fee, the Alpenglow Center reserves a specific number of Equity Sessions for which the fees are set based on a sliding scale.

Equity Sessions fill up quickly and  since it is not possible to predict when someone will be done with their therapeutic process, it is not possible to predict when a new opening will occur. People can put their names on an informal wait-list and when an opening occurs, all people on the wait-list will be contacted by email and the opening will be filled on a first come-first, first-served basis.

Q Are you accepting new clients right now?

Currently, there are openings available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Q What about COVID?

Given the need for fluid responsiveness to the ever-changing landscape, Alpenglow Center remains committed to client and employee safety and health in the following ways:
1) Regular reviews of and adherence with CDC, State and City
guidelines

2) Requiring masks and social distancing during all in-person sessions.

3) Alpenglow Center will provide clients who attend weekly or bi-weekly
sessions face shields for their sessions. Face shields provide
additional protection by covering the eyes, nose and mouth, are not
as hot and allow the client and clinician to see each other's full facial
expressions. All face shields will be kept in individual, labeled and
sealed bags at the office between appointments and when therapy is
no longer indicated, the client may take the face shield home for
personal use or dispose or if desired.

4) Optional, HIPAA- Compliant and Secure Video-based therapy is
being offered for anyone who wishes to utilize this platform instead
of in-person sessions.

5) Should Philadelphia issue another Shelter-in-Place Order in the coming months, Alpenglow Center will convert all appointments to the HIPAA-Compliant and secure video platform to ensure clients have on-going support and continuity.
