Welcome! I believe foremost that our best work together can be accomplished by creating and sustaining a unique space where you can feel safe, nurtured, validated, and understood. This will be where you can be who you need and want to be; a place where you can be your most authentic self. Choosing to prioritize yourself can feel very unfamiliar and scary. It can also feel so empowering. It will be my intention to be curious and supportive, and you will be encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings openly, confident that I will neither judge nor reject you.
I have a keen interest in and significant experience working with those who are embarking on life transitions. Specifically, I care greatly about supporting those who are curious and uncertain about who they are and where they belong. You may be someone who is navigating your college years, parting ways with college and beginning a new life that feels at once exciting and unfamiliar and uncomfortable, or negotiating your new role as a parent. You may also experience transition when making decisions about school and career, contemplating beginning or ending relationships, or considering starting a family. You are deserving of time, patience, support, and validation as you come to appreciate your needs and understand what may be best for you.
I also have an interest in supporting all who are navigating the reproductive journey. Along your way, you will encounter twists and turns as you travel down a road that is rarely linear and predictable. You may need support related to being pregnant or coping with your postpartum experience. You may want support as a partner of someone struggling with their reproductive experience, or when struggling with your own mental health concerns. All who embark on this journey have expectations of what it will be like and what it will feel like. Rarely are those expectations fully realized. That can feel very frustrating, disappointing, worrisome, and isolating. You are deserving of careful and empathic consideration, understanding, and compassion.
By fostering trust, respectfully challenging you, and encouraging vulnerability, I aim to help you understand yourself and your relationships in more sophisticated ways, realize your innate abilities, achieve enhanced understanding of your needs, and learn ways to pursue these needs. Collaboratively, we can work to help you achieve greater life satisfaction.
Currently, I am providing only telepsychology using telephone or a HIPAA-compliant video service. I am monitoring the health and safety conditions related to COVID-19. I also have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) under the PSYPACT Commission. I am able to provide telepsychological services to anyone residing or working in any of the PSYPACT-participating states. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I am not paneled with any insurance companies. Most patients receive reimbursement for out-of-network services. If you plan to use out-of-network mental health benefits, I will provide you with whatever assistance I can to help you receive the benefits to which you are entitled. Additionally, at the beginning of each month, I will provide you with a superbill of all services rendered in the previous month for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
