We are a New York State OASAS licensed, medically supervised outpatient recovery center located in midtown Manhattan. We offer highly personalized, comprehensive and innovative care to the families and individuals affected by substance abuse and addiction. We are an abstinence based program and our model is dedicated to long term recovery and wellness for the whole family. We use evidenced based clinical approaches and incorporate family systems work whenever possible. Our multidisciplinary team is trained in a wide variety of modalities, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), CBT, Somatic Experiencing (SE), EMDR, Gestalt therapy, Psychodrama, and Psychoanalysis).

We offer a range of services tailored to meet the needs of each age group and stage of life, including: A wellness and prevention program providing assessment and interventions in NYC private schools, a highly structured IOP for adolescents, a well established family program, gambling groups and an adult IOP.

What is unique about Freedom Institute is the quality of are we provide each individual who walks through our doors; from the thorough assessment to the FITT (Freedom Intensive Treatment Team) program which enables all treatment providers who are working with a client/family to collaborate on the case.
