BIO:

Hiram has over 23 years of clinical and/or Christian counseling experience helping people in need throughout the greater Mobile area. Deciding to enter the sensitive process of counseling takes a great deal of courage and trust. And one’s progress needs to be in a safe, secure, and encouraging atmosphere of support. Counseling is a series of bold steps in overcoming or managing life’s numerous painful challenges. Hiram also uses the heartache and tragedy of his own life to better connect and empathize with hurting people.

Hiram specializes in individuals, relationships, communication skills, anxiety and depression, trauma and grief, divorce, blended families, substance abuse, infidelity and the hopeful mending of trust, pornography, self-esteem, co-dependency and assertiveness, sexual issues, parenting skills in today’s turbulent adolescence, ADD for all ages, and anger management issues.

We often try to convince ourselves or others everything is fine when deep down, we know that may not be the case. When we deny, ignore or repress our feelings, our emotional health will surely suffer. Carefully bringing those painful feelings into our awareness helps promote our overall well being.
